Alicia Kuch

VIOLIN INSTURCTOR

Alicia Kuch has over 20 years of experience playing the violin and over a decade of orchestral experience. She is Classically trained and studied violin under teachers Maria Cser, Andrea Whitney, Shelly Ren, and Mariko Smiley. She also studied Baroque violin under Carla Moore.
Alicia is a graduate of Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, and studied Music and Education at the University of California, Berkeley. At UC Berkeley, Alicia was a member of the Chamber Orchestra and University Baroque Ensemble. She then graduated from UC Berkeley
with her Bachelor’s in Music, and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Alicia is currently a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California. In her teachings, she emphasizes developing proper violin technique as well as developing skills in music theory and musicianship, but also hopes to impart the joy that comes from learning and playing the violin by creating a fun learning experience for her students.
