Jill Askren possesses a deep musical background, as a student, teacher, and advocate for music education. She received her Bachelor of Arts/Master of Arts in Music at National Taiwan Normal University and Master of Arts in Music at California State University, Los Angeles.  She has a long history with the Saturday Conservatory of Music, beginning with her daughter’s enrollment as a violin student 16 years ago. Since then, she has been active in various school committees at Arcadia Foothills Middle School and the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts Music Department. Jill plays piano and flute and is an avid photographer.
