Yasmin Lozano

Clarinet/Sax/Oboe
Yasmin Lozano is a musician and teacher based in Los Angeles, California. They typically perform romantic and classical repertoire on the clarinet and are currently taking private saxophone lessons with Dr. Harvey Pittel. Yasmin has performed at an array of wind ensemble
festivals, concerts, and conferences- including the Rose Parade in 2017 and 2018 with the PCC Tournament of Roses Honor Band, in the Music Association of California Community Colleges conference in 2019, and most recently in the CBDNA Intercollegiate Band in 2022.
Yasmin has been awarded the John Philip Sousa Award, which recognizes the top student from their respective high school band program who displayed excellent musicianship and dedication to the program. They are also a recipient of the Friends of Music Patti S. Wiggins Scholarship, awarded every year to exceptional students in the music department at CSULA. Yasmin’s goal is to teach music to young students as well as to continue performing in any ensemble that they can.
