Perla Del Cid

FLUTE INSTRUCTOR
Perla Del Cid was born and raised in Riverside, CA. She attended Cal State LA where she received her Bachelors in Music-Music Education and Minor in Criminal Justice. Shortly after, she attended Cal State Long Beach where she received her Single Subject Credential in Music. She student taught at Long Beach Unified where she taught concert bands, jazz bands, and string orchestras from 3rd-8th grade. Ms. Del Cid was previously the Intermediate Music Teacher at Montebello Unified where she taught band, orchestra, guitar, and ukulele. She is currently the Band Director at La Merced Intermediate School at Montebello Unified.
Ms. Del Cid joined the Saturday Conservatory of Music in the Spring of 2016 as the Flute Instructor. During her time at Saturday Conservatory of Music, she was an Elementary Music Aide for Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District for the band, strings, and general music classes that served all 4th-6th grade students in the district. She was previously a walk-in woodwind coach for the following school districts: Hacienda-La Puente Unified, Lynwood Unified, and Los Angeles Unified.
